The learning community international is a middle states accredited private school registered with the maryland department of education and offers a k-12 program in maryland and internationally. tlcis private school is recognized by the state of maryland as a registered nonpublic educational institution. operates a homeschool umbrella program recognized by the state of maryland to supervise home instruction pursuant to state regulation. all maryland families enrolled in tlci are also registered as home educators with their local school system. operates a distance learning program and currently does not operate a brick-and-mortar location. instruction, guidance and support are provided to parents and learners virtually within groups and individually via tlcis learning management platform
