Oversees animal control, the county animal shelter, calvert emergency communications, the division of emergency management, the false alarm reduction unit, fire, rescue, ems division, and the hazardous material response team. liaises between county, state, and federal homeland security teams. works with the calvert county sheriffs office, the maryland state police, and the natural resources police to enforce federal, state, and local laws.
