    UPDATE (5/7):  All people ages 16 and older are now eligible for the vaccine and are encouraged to sign up for an appointment online.
     
    Schedule a 1st Dose Vaccine Appointment:
    Call 301-600-7900 or 301-600-7905 (Spanish)  OR
    Visit frederickcountymd.gov/covidvaccine and click on link listed next to the clinic you wish to attend.  

    • List and links will be updated every Monday
    • Appointments are recommended for a quicker visit but not required.
    • Walk-in's are welcome at all locations.
    Second Dose Appointments:  Should be scheduled at the time of 1st dose appointment.

    Accompanying Individuals to Appointment: FCHD can only vaccinate those who have an appointment scheduled.  Accompanying individuals who do not have an appointment will not be vaccinated.
    Alerts via Email: Vaccine updates sent via email can be requested by registering at Alert Frederick: https://frederickcountymd.gov/AlertCenter.aspx
    Alerts via Text: Text "FredCoVID19" to 888777 to receive vaccine updates via text from the FCHD regarding the vaccine. 
    Appointment Call Center Line: Helps make vaccine appointment for individuals who are not able to do so themselves online.  Available Mon-Fri 8am-5pm @ 301-600-7900.  Spanish line is 301-600-7905.  Please keep trying to call if you haven't been able to reach a call taker.  If there are no appointments currently available, you will hear a message to check back later.  
    Arrival at Appointment: Please arrive no more than 10 min before appt time.
    Cancel Appointment:  The appointment confirmation email contains a link to cancel.  You will need to schedule another time for yourself when additional clinics are available.
    Clinic - Location/Time: Clinic site location, date and time frame will be listed on sign up.
    Clinic - Need to Bring: Documentation of your age and identity.  18+ for Moderna and 16+ for Pfizer.
    Clinic - Sign Up: Call appointment line or visit website.
    Cost:  There is no cost for the vaccine.
    Drive-Thru Vaccination Clinics: Operating at the FHH testing site.  Must have appointment. Designed for people who have not had any previous history of allergic reaction to injection medication or vaccinations. 
    Excess Doses: FCHD does not keep a separate list to contact people for excess doses at the end of clinics.  FCHD will reach out to people in the currently eligible priority groups who have pre-registered if there are any excess doses.
    Homebound Individuals:  FCHD is working with Senior Services to identify individuals in this situation.  To be added to the list, contact Todd Johnson tjohnson2@frederickcountymd.gov. 
    Inclement Weather:  FCHD will post any clinic cancellations on their website and social media pages.  They will notify everyone who has an appointment for that clinic by email or phone with more details.  FCHD will accommodate all scheduled appointments.
    Johnson & Johnson: FCHD has some of these vaccines. The type of vaccine being offered in a clinic will be posted on the link to schedule appointment.
    Mobility Issue:  Follow signs at clinic for "limited mobility" for additional accommodations.
    Second Dose - 1st dose in another county/state: If at all possible, you should get your 1st and 2nd dose from the same county/state.  When Frederick County gives a first dose, the state makes a plan to send us the second dose for that person.  If people go to a different county for a 2nd dose, that county may not have that dose available based on state allocations. If not possible, you will need to register for a clinic when they are available on or after the date needed for your second dose.
    Second Dose - Tested Positive After 1st (before 2nd shot): Individuals should cancel 2nd appointment and reschedule the second dose for at least 2 months after testing positive.
    Second Dose - Time Frame: FCHD knows when you received your 1st dose and your second dose appointment will be scheduled within the appropriate time frame according to the manufacturer. 
    Second Dose - Unable to schedule at 1st appt: You will receive an email to make your second dose appointment within a few days of your first appointment.  People who have made appointments by phone will receive help to make their second dose appointment.  If they have NOT been contacted, send their name, email, phone, date and location of 1st vaccine to supervisor.  Supervisor will send message to health department.
    Tech Support:  Unfortunately, there is no tech support available at this time.  Suggest they reach out to friend or family for assistance.  
    Updates: FCHD will update website as vaccination process changes and provide additional information as necessary.  Sign up to receive vaccine updates via text message - see "Alerts" above. 
    Vaccine Interest Form: FCHD is now using the Maryland Statewide preregistration form online.  FCHD will contact people who have registered through this site as they receive more vaccine. You will be contacted by the email provided in the form.  When you are contacted you will need to register for your appointment online.  You only need to complete the form once.
    Vaccine Interest Form - Unsubscribe:  There is a link on the FCHD website to unsubscribe from the Frederick County Vaccine Interest Form.
    Vaccine Record:  If vaccinated in MD, access vaccination record through state system ImmuNet:  https://md.myir.net/
    Vaccine Type: Manufacturer will be listed on the sign up. Individuals who need a specific type of vaccine can search: https://vaccinefinder.org.

    You should NOT get vaccinated if you:
    • are within the 10 day quarantine/ isolation date.
    • had a positive COVID-19 test within the last 90 days, it is recommend to wait.
