    MARYLAND OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH PROGRAM: Ensure safe and healthy working conditions for all employees in the state by requiring and encouraging employers and workers to observe safety and health standards in compliance with state law. Inspects work-places; investigates complaints and accidents; cites violations and imposes penalties when indicated.
