CORONAVIRUS UPDATES: HCAA is still the centralized intake location for anyone experiencing homelessness in Harford County. Harford County residents seeking shelter should visit the office and complete an intake packet for services. The completed paperwork is to be placed in a locked dropbox in the vestibule, a Supportive Services Program staff will then reach out to the household to complete the assessment over the phone. If a household is not able to go to the office, they can complete an online request on https://harfordcaa.org/programs/homeless-prevention/apply-for-services/. Households will need to follow up with the Direct Services Coordinator, Heather Clapper at 410-612-9909 EX 2240 for shelter availability and to confirm that a completed packet has been received. Emergency Winter Shelter will begin its availability on Monday January 4th, 2021.
HOMELESS SERVICES: Provides assistance with emergency shelter placement and permanent supportive housing for individuals and families. May be able to provide motel vouchers for homeless families during extreme weather only. For street outreach homeless shelter services, a caseworker will go out to confirm the applicant is homeless in Harford County.
