HOME REPAIRS: Partners with families who cannot afford necessary repairs to their homes and are in need of assistance. These repairs may range from minor clean-up efforts to major repairs to help citizens remain safe in their homes. Examples of past projects include siding and trim repair, door replacement, landscaping, wheelchair ramp construction, handrail construction, flooring repair or replacement, and wall repair or replacement. It also offers aging in place modifications suck as tub cuts, grab bars, and other repairs to help citizens remain safe in their homes.
To qualify for repair services, the individual must meet the following criteria:
- A need for repairs that cannot be completed without assistance
- Ownership and occupancy of the home as the residence for at least 1 year and plans to stay in the home for at least 3 years.
- A total family income is not more than 80% of Frederick County’s median income.

Payment Description: Sliding scale dependent on client income. Varies from a minimum one time payment of $25.00 to 5% of the total cost of project.
Intake and Eligibility: Applicants must have a need for repairs beyond what can be completed by the applicant. Must own and occupy the home as a primary residence for at least one year and plan to remain in the home for at least three years. The total household income cannot exceed 80% of Frederick County's median income. Proof of homeowner's insurance.
