--MAINTENANCE: Evaluates and resolves issues or refers customers to the appropriate source for assistance. Emergency Services crews provide the first response to utility related issues.
--WATER BILLS: Assists with billing issues, such as a lost bill, a customer has moved, or cannot afford to pay their bill all at one time, or the bill seems out of line compared to previous bills. Contact Customer Service by phone or e-mail. Payment plans may be an option. Unusually high utility bills due to plumbing leaks on the property owner’s side of the utility meter are the sole responsibility of the owner, not Anne Arundel County. However, the Department of Public Works offers a “Leak Adjustment” as a benefit to our customers faced with the expense of costly plumbing repairs and the associated high utility bill. Any “Leak Adjustment” is primarily considered a courtesy and may not be approved more than once every five years. A “Leak Adjustment” will reduce, but not eliminate, excess water consumption charges due to on-property leaks. Call or visit the website to request an application.
