    Agency: Arc of Southern Maryland, The

    OVERVIEW: Provides residential and support services for adults with intellectual disabilities.

    1) COMMUNITY LIVING: Supports are tailored to each person's skills, abilities, needs and desires. Services range from 24 hours/day household support to five hours/week of drop-in assistance. Services are provided to individuals living in their own homes or homes owned by subsidiary companies of the Arc of Southern Maryland.

    2) VOCATIONAL SERVICES: Adults with intellectual disabilities are matched with appropriate and meaningful jobs. Once clients are employed, employment specialists provide whatever support and follow-up services are needed to both worker and employer.

    3) FAMILY SUPPORT: Family support services help families keep their children with intellectual disabilities at home for as long as possible. Includes respite services.  Child must be under 22 and have a documented disability.
