OVERVIEW: Provides a community of friendship providing sanctuary and support to adults recovering from severe mental illness. Also offers psychiatric rehabilitation programs that supports clients to live and work in the community.
1) DAY PROGRAM: Provides day program where clients learn social and daily living skills, job training, GED classes, basic budgeting and support groups. Transportation is provided to the center and lunch and snacks are served daily.
2) RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM: Provides individual homes for clients in all three counties. They offer intensive and general housing so that clients are able to learn skills to help them move into independent living.
3) BEACON PLACE: Offers supervised housing for adults with severe mental illness, who otherwise would require placement in a psychiatric hospital, and for those who are being discharged from a psychiatric facility and need support to re-acclimate. Also provides respite and drug/alcohol services.
4) COMMUNITY OUTREACH TEAMS: Provides in-home service to people with severe mental illness, who do not need or want to participate in the day or residential programs. Services involve medication monitoring, budgeting skills development and supportive counseling. Also provides vocational rehabilitation services.
