    OVERVIEW: Provides an intermediate inpatient care facility for individuals suffering from co-occurring disorders. Assists clients in achieving a better quality of life through prevention, intervention, comprehensive treatment and recovery support services. Also offers medically monitored detoxification for alcohol, opiate and/or benzodiazepine dependent individuals and training for first responders encountering overdose individuals. 

    1) INPATIENT SUBSTANCE ABUSE: Provides a 40-bed inpatient residential substance abuse rehabilitation program which provides assessment, psychiatric and psychological evaluation; individual, family and group counseling and a 12-week aftercare program. Pregnant women are given first priority and taken within five days. Also offers a medically monitored detoxification for alcohol, opiate and/or benzodiazepine dependent individuals. Clients are in the program for 28 days with referral to halfway houses if needed.

    2) NALOXONE TRAINING: Offers an educational program that includes an understanding of opioids, recognizing signs and symptoms of an overdose, proper rescue breathing techniques, proper administration of naloxone, and care for the individual until the paramedics arrive. Individuals must be 18 and older related to and/or working with individuals dealing with opiate substance use. Provided to family members, caregivers, guardians, and health/human service workers.     Payment Description: Medicare, Private insurance and offers a Sliding fee scale. No one is turned down based on inability to pay if they are a resident of Eastern Shore.

    Intake and Eligibility: Adults age 18 and older with a chemical dependency and co-occurring disorder.
