    OVERVIEW: Provides a comprehensive, community based, mental health and co-occuring mental health and substance use disorders treatments and interventions for adults and transition age youth who are living with severe mental illness.

    1) FOUNDATIONS DAY PROGRAM: Provides training on topics such as communication skills, problem solving, interpersonal relationships, use of public transportation, money, computer training time and stress management and beginning-to-advanced cooking. Also offers social and recreational activities. FEES: Medical Assistance, sliding scale.

    o RESIDENTIAL REHABILITATION: Provides psychiatric rehabilitation services within residences which are owned by Cornerstone Montgomery. Also offers an intensive residential program, which provides additional support.
     INTAKE: Call 301-493-4200 EX 234 for information. FEES: Medical Assistance or Private Pay.
    o SUPPORTED LIVING: Provides support up to individuals who prefer to remain in their own home. Services include assessment, independent living skills coaching, counseling and case management. Participants have full access to the Back to Work and Life Skills Programs.
    FEES: Medical Asst., sliding scale.
    o FENTON MCAULIFFE HOUSE: 16-bed, 24-hour counseling and crisis stabilization residence, which provides short term intervention on a referral basis only. INTAKE: A mental health provider calls Fenton McAuliffe House. Usually no waiting. FEES: APS authorization., private pay, private insurance.

     o CAPS: Career Academic & Psych- Rehab Services. programs serves young adults between ages of 18 to 25 who have severe mental illness, a resident of Montgomery County & request supported employment and supported educational services.
    o CAREER TRANSITION PROGRAM: Provides case management and career planning, supported employment and supported education to students with severe emotional disabilities. ELIGIBILITY: high school Juniors,seniors, in special education within the Montgomery County Public School System, diagnosed with a severe mental illness or emotional disability.
