    OVERVIEW: Provides job training opportunities to eligible adults, youth and dislocated workers who are residents of the Lower Eastern Shore.

    SERVICES:
    1) YOUTH PROGRAM: Assists the local board in developing and recommending local youth employment and training. Youth may also visit the 'Teens2Careers' website, where they can obtain resources for summer jobs and volunteer opportunities. It also provides information for youth planning career goals after graduating high school and lists current job market information.

    2) ADULT/DISLOCATED WORKERS: Offers an extensive network of service providers to assist during the transition of finding employment. Any individual age 18 or older and has lost their job due to no fault of their own.They must be categorized as workers who have been laid off or terminated due to employer closing within 180 days, self-employed workers, who are unemployed due to economic conditions in their community or national disaster and displaced homemakers providing unpaid services in the home to family members but is no longer supported by that income and is unsuccessful in obtaining employment.
