OVERVIEW: Provides information and assistance and a mobile crisis team for individuals experiencing behavioral management concerns.
1) INFORMATION AND REFERRAL: Provides callers with linkage to community resources for behavioral health and human service resources.
2) MOBILE CRISIS TEAMS (MCT): Intervenes with callers referred from ESOC who are experiencing a mental health emergency. MCT assist law enforcement and emergency responders by providing behavioral health crisis consultation and intervention through a range of services including assessment, crisis intervention, supportive counseling, information and referrals, linkage with appropriate community based mental health services for ongoing treatment and follow-up. ESOC staff can access the Mobile Crisis Team Sun-Sat from 9AM-12AM. If assistance is needed after midnight, then the call center will talk callers thru their crisis and if possible will schedule an appointment with MCT to respond at 9AM. If caller is in need of emergency help then they will notify local authorities.
